netgear dg834 v1 with netgear pci network card
1meg Nildram

I play on Draenor, and for the last three days I've had a constant 1k + ms latency, and many many random DC's during the Razorgore fight last night. Many others had the same DC's but not so much lag.

I've tried 3 different PC's all with no changes in the last 3 days, no joy :(
No lag in any other games either.

Not impressed :(

How long has this been affecting you?

I'm on Draenor aswell, over the last week the sames been happening to me, high lag and about 2-3 random DC's every couple of nights

i am on talnivarr its been happening to me for a few months now but seems to have got worse over past 2 or 3 weeks

I had the exact same problem when i was on nildram, since changing my ISP it has stopped completly. Nildram are aware of the issue and had a chap assigned specifically to deal with WoW complaints.

all in that adslguild post sums up my problems

time to request my Mac code and find another Isp :(

Furbs what isp u using now by the way ?

Dreanor has to be one of the worst realms, I get constant 1k+ latency (bad connection doesn't help), and everybody disconnects at least once per day at least, me usually 5-6 times. Today for some reason I have a stable 150ms latency so im not going to complain too much for now :p

The answer to this one is easy "NILDRAM"...

They have lost hundreds of customers because of this problem.. I Migrated a couple of months ago because of the continued problems.. There were pages and pages of complaints on the Blizzard and ADSLGuide forums..

This page is an old one but take a look and you'll get the idea :

http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showthr...r=2475515&page=1&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=

Nildram origianally denied any knowledge of the problem, then following 100's of complaints blamed Telia (Blizzards provider) but they said it was not their end etc etc.. Nildram for weeks and weeks said they were working on it but nothing ever progressed.. so lots and I mean lots of people migrated from them... I waited a while but in the end I had no choice but to migrate.. Problem solved...

I dont think your being very fair towards Nildram here. Nildram have one of the best networks going, infact the routing was probably too good, and the piering to Telia (managed by Telia) was a joke. Without providing all the links in short it was a fault with Telia, Blizzard, and Nildram. And with Blizzard and Telia to be frank not giving a cats arse about the matter left Nildram in an awkward position. Nildram's fault? Nope.

Oh and yes Nildram never denied there was a problem, and Blizzard acknowledged there was a problem but then decided to brush it under a rather large carpet ;)

Doesn't really matter who the fault lies with if he can't play does it? Of course in a perfect world Blizz/Nildram/Telia would all sort themselves out but they won't.So the only recourse is to change ISPs.

Oh,Blueyonder here and absolutely loving it :D

While I was with Nildram I thought they were very good.. good until there was a problem, and yes when the problems first started they denied there was a problem and told me I'd have to try to locate any problem locally.. great if I knew how to do that.... After a couple more weeks of messing around and phoning I finally spoke to someone who knew there was a problem and gave me the details of the ADSL Guide forum so I could read more and was advised to send Nildram an email with some details and they would reply within 24 hours. 2 weeks later I got the reply saying "the person dealing with the WOW issues is not in the office but we will pass your email on when they are next in".. never heard anymore...

Anyway I eventually migrated to Zen together with many others...

I actually got a phonecall from the person dealing with the WoW issue but all he said was they were trying to fix it ASAP and he was sorry for the problems. Three weeks later and I still had a lot of DC's so I left. Nildram for me were brilliant for the majority of the time i was with them (over 2 years) but they have got a lot worse customer service wise and it was time for me to move.

i was on the phone to nildram today the guy in support said he did not know anything about any problems they have with WoW players lol

Nildram have been going downhill, they implemented traffic shaping without telling anyone, their staff rarely post on the adslguide forums now. Just take a look through the pages on the adslguide forum, a lot of people have left.

It's a shame, they used to be an amazing ISP back in the day, I;ve been with them since oct 2003.
