WoW Start Over

with regards to the 'game stops @ 60' / 'raiding is boring' comments

yes, MC is boring as ****. yes, you need to be in a relatively decent guild to see the end-game instances and get the best loot, but any guild can work there way there, and no feeling is better than when you and 39 others you've been playing the game with for over a year pull together, and everything goes perfect for a new boss kill after maybe weeks of wiping.

yes, the consumeables needed - especially far into end-game can be a pain, but when you wanna compete with the best you gotta put the time in. elsewhere, titans are the only things needed sometimes by guild, and having the entire guild pull their weight makes it easy.

ofc with TBC coming out, those not 60 yet/just hit 60 will likely never see the current top-end instances, and you could argue people waste their time in there for gear that will be pointless in 10 levels, but as i said, its killing new bosses and working as a team that makes this game so great.

side note: to those who have only seen MC - BWL, AQ and Naxx aren't the same boring spam button x for 5 hours for epix ****. AQ and especially Naxx have numerous encounters where all 40 players need to be focused and doing there thing.

I see raiding the likes of Naxx and AQ like a 40 - man CS clan personally >_>

This was attempted before, but a lot of people were never on. I gave up because I hate leveling characters on pvp servers, and to be honest, a few of the people in the guild were annoyingly immature. It is also true that it is difficult to level in a group - I've had several character I've only played with my boyfriend, and we've had to do extra quests that I wouldn't need to do solo just to make up the lost experience!

On a pvp server it's a pain to be solo as it's just an invitation for gankers. It really doesn't help that now everyone has "twinks" which need to be leveled to 19/29/39... at some point and have stupidly expensive gear and enchants for their level (level 19 with fiery weapon or crusader!), which means a normal character solo has little chance against them.

I think part of the problem is, ive done all the horde quests with my shaman, well most and already leveled a tauren druid to 26, undead priest to 17 and of course my oc shaman, so no quest was new. Same with alliance now. Not enough people were online, especially not on teamspeak. To be honest i was hardly motivated, its a pity we didnt all have our main characters on the same server :(

Yeah, I think that was another problem for me - I'd just started playing again and had a mage at level 50-odd and wanted to get her to 60. As it happened, I actually ended up migrating my two main characters to the server we were on, but I had to delete the priest I'd made for the ocuk guild so I could use her name :p.
