hi there, im not really sure why im getting a lot of stuttering in WoW. i can run games like BFBC2, Crysis 2, L4D2, Fallout NV, Dirt 3 and MOH all at the highest settings 1080p at 50+ Fps

i thought it could be 512mb of memory on my graphics card but it doesnt make other games stutter that look a hell of a lot better. i can only run this game at fair to get a decent 70 fps, anyone know why this is?

its CPU Biased for one & you will see bad fps no matter what rig in big cities.

even when i was running 570GTX 1.2GB & [email protected]. i could run ultra but low fps... even in lich king 280GTX SLI low fps in big cities out in the open 100+

where do you mean, in terms of low fps everywhere or certain places?

Some of the graphics options in WoW, particularly stuff like Shadows and Sunshafts are pretty taxing on a graphics card. I'd suggest turning these down or off and you'll see a decent improvement.

its stuttering everywhere. i just thought it was a Vram bottleneck or something

thanks, put them both on low and shot up to 50fps

only having one more problem now

i changed the resolution a couple of days ago and then changed it back to 1080p but its locked at 50hz and had a black boarder. not sure what i did wrong there?

It's not an addon causing it is it? I remember when 4.1 was released, it caused me no end of problems thanks to Quest Helper having an issue with the new Battle Log reporting system. With QH running the game would drop down to <2fps anywhere near combat (me, AI or other player's duelling) if I disabled QH and the game was silky smooth at >60fps again.

If it's fixed on 50fps max, then disable v-sync and it'll increase to it's natural limit.

Also re the black border: try swapping for full screen, to full screen windowed and see if that resolves it.

Whats your memory usage?, also are you using any addons if so are they up to date, just I was getting less then 3fps once cause of my addons being out of date
