WoW - TBC

TBC has a lot of new content, theres no real grinding because there are just so many quests, i'd definatley recommend it, maybe when your like level 55 though. Also you should be able to pick up some killer greens off the AH from the outland grinders relativley cheaply.

I'd say don't bother. Just give up now :)
You'll probably find it incredibly hard to level to 58 unless you like doing solo quests/grinding your way there.

Plus, tehre's nothing actually NEW in the expansion. Other than flying mounts.

to be honest i gave up just after tbc came out. got to lvl 63 and just had enough. theres nothing i would consider as being "new" . i would say get out while you still can.

i wudnt if its only 5 hours a week u play. *** barely get 1 level a week so u arent really gunna see any new content tbh. as for raiding unless u have no job then raiding just becomes your life. finsih work/college log in move to instance raid, eat on wipe recovery, go to sleep.

Actually even at 70 TBC is allot more casual friendly than WoW was before.

Rep running instances most of which are under 2 hrs to run now.

Heroic instances that are also short. You can get very good 5 man gear and never have to do the whole raid thing.

Instances like ramparts that can be run in 45 mins by a good group.

Blizzard have given the casual players what they wanted and IMHO even the PvP system is better now becasue sometimes we all have RL things to do.

So far I have had TBC 10 days I have just made 70 and I am loving it ...

Game is still full of numptys and has the worst community of any MMO ever but if you can play with some mates and avoid them its good.

You wont gain a single thing from buying it before level 58, so you might as well wait until then if you are still playing by then. All the nice Outland's green/blue on the auction house you can buy and use without the expansion, so there's no real point having it yet.

Loving it (Would wait till at least 55 before you buy it, that way you havent long before you can use it), Got two new pieces of loot in Karazhan last night in my first run:)

Evaine, Level 70 Blood Elf Paladin <Nocturnal Fear> - EU-Emerald Dream.

Yup i like the new expansion and have been enjoying it, i started over on a pvp server about 1 month before it came out which got 70 pretty quick and i work full time.

You cant pass through the Dark portal until you reach level 58 which is where almost all the new content is but that doesn't mean you can go there using a mage portal / warlock summon to go there early should you max out your skills and want to continue them whilst at a lower level.

I gave up the game for about 8 months and then started playing again just before TBC came out.
I wasn't really enjoying it much... then i got to Hellfire and i'm loving it :)

Yes it is worth getting but as other people have said, you wont see many benefits until level 58.

Lilac 70 Warrior - Emerald Dream :D

I just cancelled my sub, I was enjoying TBC, it made decent gear more accessible for casual gamers such as myself and the particular class spec I played was actually wanted in groups for instances (shadow priest)

My old guild reformed and we were doing the level 70 instances whenever we could, spent some time crafting some good gear and collecting stuff from the dungeons then blizzard go and royally **** my class spec up. Lost all interest and respect for blizzard after that and soon after cancelled my sub. I know this just sound like blizzard hating for the sake of it but its not, our class had some serious issues (not just the shadow tree) and instead of actually listening to any of the priest community they actually downscaled our abilities. So rather than be at the mercy of developers who don’t seem to listen to paying customers I decided to quit as have many others since the new patch information was released.

Don’t get me wrong BC has some nice new stuff in it and for the most of it I enjoyed it, it’s not the game that really put me off just the developer’s decisions. One minute you can be totally happy with your class and the next bliz decide they aren’t happy with your class and change it completely, which in turn completely affects your game experience.

Its just as easy to level up to 58 as it ever was, you make it sound like they killed it for casuals/people getting into the game, when they only made it better for them.

Theres plenty new in the expansion, flying is a very small part of it.

Just go buy it tbh, will give you something more to aim for.

The new content is great epecially the 25 mans if you don't miond wiping 30 times a night when learning a new boss, 1st boss in Gruuls Lair took us 2 nights to kill and going back for grull which should be a 1 night affair he pretty easy.

So yeah just go buy it, install it, just don't upgrade your account so then if you decide to quit before you get to 58 you can always sell you copy on.

Examples? im not finding anything wrong with the healing or dmg priests currently...

The fact that healing priests have to spec into two different trees to be effective, useless 31 and 41 point talents in the holy tree, improper scaling for PW:S. Complete lack of effective crowd control (fear is far to easily countered) which results in a lack of survivability in PVP. The survivability issue also applies to PVE to an extent in the heroic instances.

Shadow priests main damage spell has a gimped level of scaling compared to all other spells in the game, our mana regen pet has no control and often attacks targets that have been sheeped, shackled etc.

Many other issues which I am sure I’ve missed, some good posts in the eu forums amongst the pages of crap which explain the issues in detail.

What class do you play?

a priest (23/38/0) in one of the best raiding guilds in the world :/ with our shadow priests in top5 of the dmg meters on a lot of fights.
