WoW: Transferring cash between factions on PvE server

At the moment I have a collection of alliance characters on one particular PvE server. On a different PvE server I have an essentially redundant Priest that I don't play any more. The trouble is that the Priest is a bit of a money-making machine. I buy cheap adamantite, prospect it into gems and flog those gems at a vast markup, making an easy 2-300g a day in 15 mins when there's cheap adamantite available.

My 'mains' have no such easy way to make cash and I'd like to move the 5000g my Priest has to my alliance characters. The £15 server transfer fee is no problem, but I'd like to know the easiest way of getting large amounts of cash and (possibly) goods from one faction to another. I think the neutral AH charges 20% or something daft. If I put up an epic recipe or some cheap blue gems at cheap BO for my Alliance character to pick up, are there people who constantly camp the neutral AHs with addons or something to spot such transactions and make off with them? Is there anything I should be aware of?

Just get your Ally chap to sell something really daft like a feather on the neutral auction house for 5g, then your priest can buy it and it will then transfer the cash, less overhead cost, to the other char.

Lower amount if you need to keep his cash reserves up a bit for adamantite buying!

Totally safe as if anyone else is daft enough to buy the feather you still get the cash :)

Only issue is you lose the commission - but if you're making that much money then it shouldn't be a problem :)

There is always the chance someone will pick up on something you list within a few minutes. It is a small risk but one that shouldn't put you off.

There are no mods or such things and people camping the neutral AH I have never personally heard of. I don't even think the China boys and girls farm the AH like that.

Just remember though not to long ago Bliz put in a new system to stop people selling gold to players. The 1hr delay you see on receiving money via Auction sales is because a potential buyer on some random website would purchase 10k gold and would be sent an instruction to list say a herb or something similar for 10k gold where the bot would log on and buy it.. thus selling the gold to the person that bought it.

This was put in place because it use to happen via Mailbox but bliz managed to stop a lot of transactions so they went to auction house, so bliz put this system in also.

Reason I say all this is that when you do something similar with your item on the Neutral AH for something cheap to x-fer your gold dont be suprised if you get blocked for that reason.

you need a friend to do it.

Best way is to buy something expensive you know will sell at the same sort of price on the opposite faction.

You then meet your mate who needs to be on as the other faction toon at say booty bay auction house.
you tell him what your selling, you list it at 1c, hey buys out.

He then hands you the item when you log back on as the toon you wanted the cash on, you then have to sell it in the ah.

If you do the other methods the ah's take too much of a cut.

Didn't think it would allow you to purchase your 'own' (as in one account) goods. I've always done it with a mate or within a my guild.

You need to transfer the cash directly between players, or you'll probably lose it.

The hour delay Blizzard introduced flags up large transfers like that, I lost 500g in the mail that I'd lent one of our tanks for pots/repairs one day.

Yes you have to have another player help you. You are unable to bid or buyout any auction made by any character on the same account.

You cannot place something on the AH with one char and then buy it with another... if you try you get a message saying something like "you cannot bid on your own auctions".

Unless you know someone on the alliance side that also has lots of horde gold its not going to be doable really. Without risk of being scammed at any rate.
