WoW trial question

I'm downloading the WoW trial client at the moment, when I came to install it, it asked me which version of WoW I wanted to download and install, I selected normal WoW. Is this right or did I need to select WOTLK as this is the latest expansion?

I downloaded the WoW client which was 3GB, then a patch that was 5GB now I've got to download another 7GB worth of stuff. It's put me off playing.
