After the game constantly crashing yesterday i decided to re-install this morning, all patches are upto date and all my drivers are as well

Started the game up and nothing, again...so i turn my firewall off (COMODO) and the game runs fine.

So put my firewall back on and try again, not a think crahses on a black screen and thats it.

So my firewall is not letting the game load, although i have told it that it is an OK application...would rather not play for long amounts of time without my firewall being on really...anyone have any ideas?

Will post this up in the windows section as well, as it maybe WOW not liking COMOD or visa versa

Have you checked that the ports are forwarded properly?

What are you worried about while playing WoW that you need a firewall enabled?

Anything lol, would rather have it there than not

Not sure how to check the ports tbh

Well if you have a good router you dont have anything to worried about if you've configured it properly.

WoW (apart from the login stage) never sends any private information, the only thing it sends are active programs on the taskbar when warden scans.

As for port forwarding

http://portforward.com/routers.htm

Select your router, select world of warcraft and follow the instructions.

If that doesn't work, try this

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/firewalling/routerindex.htm

Select your firewall and select WoW and follow the instructions again.
