So some of you know I'm going to be a new dad again. Things were rough for my wife in the early part of pregnancy with hormones etc....now I know why. Twins.....holy ****!!! TWINS!!!

Man I'm delighted and scared in equal measure lol. Near **** a brick when widwife took a scan of the wifes tummy and said there are two babies in here. Crazy. Dunno what to think...I think I'll go get drunk first and worry later.

does twins run in the family on either side? If you have other twins in the family, does that also increase your chance for having twins?

Firstly: Congratulations! :D

Secondly: Not aimed/connected to the OP, but how would twins effect the tax credits change? seeing as you could go from one child straight to three it seems a bit mean to block the third child for being slightly slower than the second lol.
 
Congratulations! I am a twin and according my parents we were a hell of a handful. :D

You'll either be exempt from the 2 child limit or you'll get no tax credits at all. :p

I met a guy on a course once who told me he had twins. He said that his wife had just delivered the first baby when the mid-wife said "Your second baby will be along very soon". They had no knowledge whatsoever that they were having twins!

He said to me "My wife had hysterics" to which I replied "What did she name the other one?"

OP: Yes congratulations, my mother gave birth to twins 5 years after I was born. From my observations twins seem to get along better with each other than other siblings do, of course I could be wrong.

Do you know if they are fraternal or identical twins?
