trying to find an easy way to lay out photos to look like this on WP

That is awful...

To start with, it takes far too long to load, I nearly hit the back button at one point.

Secondly, most of those photos are editing in Photoshop into the layout then just uploaded. That's why there is no white padding between some of the photos:

Looks like a standard masonry grid. Most themes have this ability.

That demonstration is truly terrible.

i wasnt saying i particularly like that site i used as an example, just the concept of laying out photos of different sizes on one page

i think i found a good solution..
