Yeah the video makes it look realllly laggy. Remind me at home etc is great, its the main use I do,

Remind me next time I go to the shop I need milk.
Remind me when I leave work to post the letter. Etc etc all work great.

It's because it was done on an emulator.

I use the home and work function a lot more often than I thought.

"Remind me to turn off the slow cooker when I am home". Tap done and off I go till I arrive home. *ping!*

Just bought a lumia 630 to have a little play around with. Really impressive phone for £100. Disappointing that it doesn't have a flash, and my initial thought was that the apps are far fewer than android.

After a few days though I have replaced nearly all my apps with acceptable substitutes.

Might give it a month or so and if I'm still happy upgrade to a better handset.

Has anyone had any trouble adding their google account to their windows phone?

I've just gotten my Nokia 930 today, when I click 'Add account' -> 'Google' -> 'Connect' it attempts to load for a couple of seconds then kicks me back to the 'connect' screen.

I had this. Check the date/time is correct on your phone ...

After adding my personal IMAP email account it seems windows phone 8.1 doesn't support flags. It does for outlook accounts but not third party IMAP accounts, that's a bit of a let down.

Those enlisted in the Developer Preview program should be able to download WP 8.1 Update 1 at some point next week.

Brings Cortana (beta) to UK and also some other nice looking features such as App Folders which will retain live update ability.
