Weird. Considering you can see the filename.
Finally native support for mkv in Xbox videos in wp8.1 gdr2 software currently on 640s and coming to some other phones.
Doesn't sound like it's coming to all phones, but the way some carriers take so long, win 10 will be on our phones by then anyway.

Bought a Lumia 535 last week as a cheap temp phone whilst I decided what to get to replace my Z3, have to say I'm quite impressed, theres a few niggles in some of the apps i'm used to on android but have to say the app store is better than I expected (for some reason I thought it would be the same as the apps found on my desktop running windows 8.1....... )
In a way I wish i'd gone for a 640 but then it wouldn't have a "cheap" phone I suppose, going to stick with it for a bit longer then maybe upgrade to something a bit better, whats the best handset with SD slot? The 1520 looks nice but 6" is a bit big really
For £70 I can't really complain anything about the 535, sure the screen res is a little low and the camera isn't brilliant but its better than any other phone I've bought for that kind of money inc moto g etc

I wouldn't buy a good phone yet, wait and see what windows 10 for Mobile phones they release latter this year.
Otherwise 640 is the only new gen handset out.
Naming convention
5xx higher the first number the higher the phone specs
X2X middle number is series, so 2 is old, 3 is current, 4 is new.
Xx5 is variants late/dual sim etc, probably won't be on series 4 phones as they just seem to be naming them.

Cheers for that, I've always been a little confused by the model numbers..... I was going to get a 630 but from what I could see the 535 was better????

right, mainly went for the 535 for the front camera (not that I use it much) and mainly the flash for the rear camera. Anyway it was just to see if I could live with wp, sure theres a few quirks that niggle me but have to say I love the fact that 99% of the apps ive downloaded are able to be installed on the sd card, that was the reason I ditched the Z3, 16gb (or about 11)just wasn't enough.
I'm getting an easy full hard day out of the 535 and 2 when not really using it too much so cant really complain on that side either

Screen is ok, but angles are awful, runs fine, and apps load times I can handle.
Don't like all the xbox stuff though. As a PC and PS gamer.
Not bad for £10 though.

Preferred the xmb and how PS handled it.

But just tried to watch a video I have on the sd card, and it keeps prompting me to create an xbox account. I don't want an xbox account

Xbox is entertainment brand.
Xbox music, Xbox video has absolutely zero to do with an Xbox console. So why does it bother you these apps are on the phone.
It's like getting an android phone and being enraged that it has google play on there for music and films.
