WPA or WEP security???

Yup because I often have various laptops and wireless devices (DS/PSP etc) connected to this randomly throughout the week/month I have MAC filtering turned off but regularly observe the active client table on my WRT54GL (running HyperWRT Thibor 15c) - Also doing a site survey reveals only 2 neighbour networks with weak signals so no interference is observed thankfully (channel 13 I am on)

I tend to stick with WPA-TKIP over WPA2 though and keep the passphrase a mix of letters and numbers. This router kicks so much ass :)

It's only better if you require the extra features of Tomato which I doubt highly everyone does! Thibor does exactly everything I need and provides the reporting functions I need - as a power user it gives me more information than what everyday users who just want a stable router will require and it's much better on the interface front keeping the Linksys UI but building on it, simple and clutter free :)


End of the day all 3rd party FW for the WRT is going to be fast, stable and brilliant though and will inevitably be user preference based on the interface experience "mainly"
