Wraith Prism on a 5700X3d CPU

will a Wraith Prism cool a 5700X3d well enough? I ask as I love the aesthetic of the cooler..but not sure about cooling on a chip like this?

Should be fine as the chip only hits around 80w max despite the 105W TDP.

I have a 5700X3D on a wraith stealth cooler temperature and it's completely adequate for gaming at default OOTB settings.

Running my wraith prism in this chip. I am seeing low 70s on average and peak or maximum of about 79-81 degrees..

Is this still safe operating temps for the cpu?

By "on average", what kind of load are we talking? The same question with the peak/maximum.

I’m not sure. Just general gaming.

I will try some monitoring to get more info together.

I ended up getting a 360mm AIO for the chip. Its made a huge difference to the temps! I miss the aesthetics of the WP though, but the cooler still looks good and when under load the PC is WAY WAY quieter than the WP blasting away!

Yeah, the noise levels have dropped significantly under load. It’s crazy!

tbf, i found it extremely loud. i was lazy in not bothering with a AIO but now i decided to do it, i wont look back!
