WRC Rally Crash Compilation 3

Some of the spectators are utter morons with more than a death-wish. The idiot around 7:50 in who is sat after the crest with a camera. If the car had come off that hump at an angle, he would have been flattened.

That cossie on its side near the beginning. There's a lick of flame from the engine just before they get it back on to its wheels....RUN;

LOL, just got to 6:12. Watch the little AX go over the hill. Someone makes an incredible noise thats coincides nicely with the hilarity of the accident.

I think a fair few of those cars needed ABS :p . Lock up = straight on into a tree/off cliff

About 45 minutes in when they hear the other car coming and notice it locking up... Utter panic!

LOL, 48 minutes, with the Celica driving out the back of that car... :D

Wow, those BMWs sound *awesome*. I assume you can't even get close to that kinda sound/power on the road without it either being illegal or stupid money? :(

Yeah, I love the sound of the BMWs and the Meganes. :D

The biggest factor in mods like that for me would be reduction in service time and also shortening of engine life. Remember, WRC rally cars are only good for ~1k miles.

Yeah.. true... the noise of them was just... epic! But in all seriousness, how many people die each year at these events? I'm no expert, but most of the drivers seemed ok and I presume the cages in the cars are built to take this kind of abuse. Of course a nice wack into a tree that doesn't budge is another matter.

I'm thinking more of the, frankly insane, crowd. How many of them are checked by the cars and never get up again? On the same note, I found the 'respect' level of the spectators fascinating - never see them get NO SWEARING off at a driver for wiping out a load of spectators. I get the feeling that they'd rather they went for it and messed up than just played it safe and cruised around.

Once the car does that roll on a hairpin and people are trying to roll it back (couple of mins in), the yellow peugeot that comes along which people wave at to slow down sounds absolutely immense.
