Wreck-It Ralph - Disney

I've only seen the ads so far at bus stops / billboards but I like the idea of Sonic being in it. It won't have been the first time that Disney has crossed the gaming barrier though because there were Kingdom Hearts I / II games which crossed with various Final Fantasy titles.
What other characters are in Wreck-It as well as Sonic? I strongly hope they've focused on the original Sonic from 20 years ago. Maybe it was deviantART that tarnished my view of Sonic, but when I see pictures on there, they tend to be badly re-coloured traces of Sonic done in MS Paint. There also appear to be dozens of different Sonic characters now, where in my days, it was Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

Boring film, kids quite liked it but it won't be DVD purchase I'll be sitting through with the kids anytime soon...

I quite enjoyed it, disappointed some of the better known characters were such small parts but was good fun.
Sonic is a cameo for less than 10s.
Streetfighter gets the best representation, there are a few 'lol' moments to be had. Especially from Zangeif, although what you see in the OP is all you get from him.

Less than 10s? Bit misleading ad then! You would have expected more of an appearance if they're pictured with the main character along with Dr Robotnik. The picture below is what I've been seeing at the bus stops recently.
Fraid so. Robotnik is in the 'self-help' scene at the start and in the background once, but he has no dialogue. Pretty misleading.
I was playing Sonic Generations today and I did smile at some of the dialogue:
"Dr. Robotnik?! Nobody calls me that anymore!"
"So yeah, where does he keep all those rings?"
"HEY I'M CHARMY THE BEE"

Enjoyed it.
It's not in the same league as Wall-E or the best Ghibli films, but it is fun and the gaming cameos and references make it really enjoyable.
At first I thought going "Turbo" was a reference to Street Fighter (imo the Turbo version wasn't as good as Classic..), wonder if it is a reference as well as the story they give in the film...

FF7 is very much a cult game, fans revere in it, so I'd imagine any references will stick out like a sore thumb to them.
This could be awesome
But its not.
How can Johnathan Ross rate this up there with Toy Story.

DVDWorldUSA ship US films up to 3 weeks before the release date. Though no clue what the UK release date is for the Blu-ray.
I thought it was brilliant, certainly the best film I've seen for quite a while and the best animated film since WALL-E.
The point of giving the other characters cameos and not full-blown parts is that (to my knowledge) they didn't pay loads to have them there and also the respective companies only gave permission on the basis that they themselves would do the animations.
Personally i'm hovering around an 8-9/10. Would happily go see it again.

Shame then that the whole movie is sold on having all these characters in it..like the dvd cover above.

Is this only good if you like video games? Or is it good regardless? Kind of put off by the concept of it.
Really enjoyed it personally, as did my 4 year old son. Better than Madagascar 3 & Rise of the Guardians which I've seen at the cinema recently.
Regardless of adverts, anyone expecting more than 5 or 10 second cameo's from some of the big names from games past needs a reality check imo.
