Wreck-It Ralph - Disney

It's really not, it's a front cover! :D
Of course it is, pretty much every piece of marketing out there focuses on that point. Surprisingly it doesnt even have the evil protagonist on there...

Its a kids film at best and not even close to being a great film to watch as an adult. Completely bizarre use of licenses/marketing then...

Sorry T&T, not once did I expect those characters to ever get more than just a small cameo type role in the film. I also don't understand why you'd think that having them on the cover would mean any different? They're not Disney characters to make a film out of.

I thought it was great, really enjoyed it although as others have said there was far too much time spent in sugar cane land. I don't know why people are expecting the film to star shedloads of licensed game characters constantly, i wasn't expecting it at least from the trailer.

Personally for me I was expecting at least a storyline revolving around them, ultimately they were little more than superfluous and added nothing to the plot.

I've only seen the ads so far at bus stops / billboards but I like the idea of Sonic being in it. It won't have been the first time that Disney has crossed the gaming barrier though because there were Kingdom Hearts I / II games which crossed with various Final Fantasy titles.

What other characters are in Wreck-It as well as Sonic? I strongly hope they've focused on the original Sonic from 20 years ago. Maybe it was deviantART that tarnished my view of Sonic, but when I see pictures on there, they tend to be badly re-coloured traces of Sonic done in MS Paint. There also appear to be dozens of different Sonic characters now, where in my days, it was Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

In "your" day, there were more characters than Sonic, Knuckles and Tails, you just didn't know about them.

Shame then that the whole movie is sold on having all these characters in it..like the dvd cover above.

I can see why you'd think that, what with it being called, and presumably about "Wreck-It Ralph".

I have to say, I really enjoyed it, and didn't go in with expectations based on assumptions that it would be about something other than the titular character.

I loved it, i know they got 90% of the game references in early on then sorta changed to "normal" cartoony CG half way through but still really enjoyed it. I want my own glitch Sooooooo Cute :D

Wife and I took my two (7 YO girl, 2 YO boy) to see it in 3D.

We all thought it was excellent. My daughter is currently trying to persuade her grandparents to take her again tomorrow!

I wouldn't rate it up with Toy Story but it certainly sits up with the better films. I think it tugs well at the "parent strings" too - some parts got me right in the feels.

Indeed, me, the missus and her nephew went to see it last week and i didnt think it was that great and neither did my missus. Obviously my missus's nephew loved it but i didnt think it was as good as Toy story.

Of course its not as good as Toy Story. Firstly its not Pixar, and secondly.. Toy Story is one of the greatest films ever made.

Saw this the other day and loved it. It made me happy. It has the charm of monsters inc, but with better characters, script, performances and pacing. Sarah Silvermans Glitch is adorable, and you can really see the link between her live performance and the animation.
