Hey folks, being a big fan of STING (the wrestler NOT the singer) I am trying to find some of his old matches on DVD. I would especially like to see his match ups against the likes of Ric Flair, Big Van Vader, Johnny B Badd and some of his matches leading up to his turning into the Crow type STING (black and white face paint).

Can any fellow wrestling fans here help me out? If anything I just need a push in the right direction. Google either just finds me DVDs about the musician or I get stuff about WWE which Im not really too interested in.

TIA :)

I had a feeling that might be the case, since he was the WCW franchise boy in their days.

So far Ive gone through 20 pages of google..... nothing  :(

The closest Ive got is his most recent one which is more religiously based apparantly. Not really too interested in anything recent, I prefer the older more nostalgic matches i.e. Hogan VS Warrior, Andre VS Big John Stud etc

Think I might have to try the dreaded ebay

Hacksaw was great but Jake The Snake was the best, he was never the same after Earthquake squashed his python though

Aww man I remember that. The Pythons name was Damian. He'd had him for quite a while. The one he had after, Lucifer, was even bigger.

Ill give the silvervision route a try after lunch.

PS. WCW was awesome in the early days of the NWO. Unfortunately I never got to see the beginnings of it i.e. when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall first came into WCW and when Hogan eventually joined them. I do however remember the Giant(Big Show these days) being powerbombed by Kevin Nash - OUCH!

Poor old python... Would I be correct in saying that the DDT stood for 'Damian's Death Trap' ?

As for the old matches, get yourself a NES and a copy of an old wrestling game and recreate the matches yourself.

If you're into 'Classics' Wrestlemania IV has got to be the one to watch.

Wrestlemania 4........ oh yeah!!! That was the one that was released on two videos right? 16 match tournament or something for the vacant WWE title.

Awesome!!!

The industry doesnt seem to have got any better. Heard wrestlers these days are under lots of pressure and take "X" amount of supplements, drugs and steroids in order to perform for the crowd. Eddie Guerrero is a sad example of the industry not looking after its talent :(

Agreed - Scott Steiner is a poor choice of talent for any wrestling rosta. Hes got the build for it but hes too injury prone, plus hes got a problem with his temperament.

How can I get to watch TNA? Ive got cable so what channel would I need to be watching? Is the talent rosta on TNA massive or is it just enough to keep the fans entertained?

Just browsing the silvervision website. Theres some awesome DVDs on there :D

WCW in the 90s

Ric Flair greatest

The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior

Road Warriors Tribute

Mick Foley: Greatest Hits & Misses DVD

Very enticing. Just better not let the missus know that Ill be ordering them ;)

Still looking for some older matches though from back in the 80's.

What number is the wrestling channel on cable? And at what time will it be on?

Mysticsniper, I am interested in the stuff you got but Im guessing its on VHS because it was recorded back in the day?

I tried to PM you my email addy but I am not allowed to PM for some reason :(
