Not sure what time the piece is on.

Yeah predictably games are evil as the gaming expert Ann Diamond is pointing out. 97% of kids play computer games so going by her analysis it should be a bloodbath out on the streets!!!
 
Ahhh Matthew "John Leslie is a rapist" Wright. I'm not going to watch it simply because in the UK if your kids playing a violent game it's because you gave it to them. Read the PEGI advice do some research then make the decision if it's truly violent it'll have a BBFC rating. Bad parenting is the problem were not in the US the games have ratings that should be the counter argument.
 
The callers seem to be on the ball but Dr David (I believe in ghosts) Bull is on a moral crusade.
 
Yeah Matthew is usually quite sensible it's usually his oddball panel that don't make sense, notice our they didn't get i single member of the public who were anti gaming and they also sounded more sane than Ann and the Dr. lol
 
It's a hell of allot less dangerous attacking an industry than telling a significant percentage of your audience they are inept retards who don't know how to read a label (and don't really care about the development of their children).
 
I don't see how this is a debate here in the U.K. if you buy your 14 year old DA2 or bioshock or don't check what they're buying on steam then it's your fault not the publishers not the stores and not even the kids.

I think Matthew Wright has always spoken sense even when he wrote for the sun he just slipped up in an amusing and damaging way.

Doom was released in 1994.

Obviously computer games turn people into murdering rapist homophobes.
 
I havnt seen the peice you are on about BUT i am sick of people saying the same ol rubbish about vid games

ITS THE PARENTS WHO LET THE KIDS HAVE THEM isnt it!!!! well then BLAME THEM

Its the same for the video industry they put 18 cetificate on the violant etc films FOR A REASON

I have no children but IF I DID i would not let them have these types of games, thats called GOOD parenting Iw ould NOT go having a go at Gaming companies for bringing out (AWSOME :p yes AWSOME) Games

Ann Diamond admitted she saw her children playing these games and was horrified... LOL

She obviously did not look at the BBFC rating on the box, stupid parent.

I have children and agree totally with what you say. It really winds me up that games are always getting stick.

The way I see it if people are going to ban and complain about games they should also ban and complain about films.
