Wrist pain and a new chair to help

Hi,

I'm after some advice please, I've very stupidly only just realised that the reason I am experiencing wrist pain is due to the way I sit on my computer at home, because the arm rests aren't adjustable my arms don't rest on them and because the arm rests are far too low my wrist rests on the edge of the desk at completely the wrong angle which after a few years has now done me some damage and is causing me a lot of grief.

Its very frustrating for me because I am a keen online FPS player and where I used to be very good at the games I play I am now rubbish and tearing my hair out with frustration all because I've been ignorant and ignored how I should be sat at my desk properly.

Can anyone recommend a chair that has wide arm rests that are very adjustable so that I can adjust my wrist to sit in the correct position please? I cant afford to spend much more than £200 at the moment so I'm hoping there is something suitable.

I'm 5ft11" and not over weight, I am just quite broad so my arms end up being too wide for most chairs and don't rest on the arm rests.

Really hoping someone else has had a similar issue and make a recommendation?

Many thanks

Rest wrist flat on the desk? I've swapped my chair at work am now able to rest my wrist flat on the desk which seems much better, my chair at home wont allow me to do that as my arm isn't supported as the arm rests are too close to my body

Thanks

I'm not sure ill measure later but my eyes are level with the top of the screen and I cant get my chair under the desk due to the arm rests. The monitor is right at the back of the desk so the furthest it could possibly be

I've moved the mouse mat forward and my wrist is now flat on the desk but still getting pain, partly because my new mouse is uncomfortable but mostly because the arm rest of my chair is in an awkward position.

Mouse is going back just raised an RMA for it but still wondering about a chair with wider comfortable arm rests

No worries, ended up with a Mionix Naos mouse and a chair with higher arm rests than my previous chair, the combination has worked very well and wrist pain is a lot better than it was before
