I have been wondering whether it is worth getting some wrist rests to make gaming sessions and typing a little more comfortable. I have never given them a test so would like to hear what you fine folk think of them. They seem to come in a number of variations and I really don't know where to start.

If you have used any then please say how you got on with them and feel free to make recommendations. A cursory glance on the offerings around the web leaves me unable to tell the tat from the well made stuff so please weigh in on any respected brands here too.

Thanks!

I used to use a mousepad one years ago. Now I've found having a desk where I can rest my forearms on it and be deep enough to fit kb / mouse on fixed all the issues I used to get.

I suffer from problems in all my tendons, and long gaming sessions used to leave my wrist (and lots else) in pain for days.

I tried all sorts of wrist rests, pads etc and none of them really make all that much difference, as in the long run, they all tend to rub at the sensitive skin on the front of your wrist, or get in the way of the mouse at a crucial moment and end up consigned to the bin.

As Giggz does, that's the best I found. Find a position to put your peripherals that doesn't put strain on your joints in the first place, and choose peripherals that suit your grip etc. It's the only real way.

I have my mouse on a low desk at my right side, so my arm rests on it all the way to the elbow, and my keyboard on my lap in a comfy recliner - no longer any trouble! :)
