Wrong drivers for my BFG GTX 280?

*EDIT* i've just realised i didnt put this in the graphics card section, sorry.

I built my new system the other day and installed the drivers that came with the card on a disk but when it was done the screen res set to 800x600 with a colour quality of 4bit. :confused:
I cant even change it off this setting so can someone please help!

As above, go to nvidia's website, drivers section, download the latest gtx 280 drivers, restart the comp then change the resolution.
 
Thankyaa, its such a kick in the **** getting a 22" widescreen full hd monitor and a gtx 280 OC to be greated by 800x600 res and 4bit colour quality :mad:

So now to set up the new pc for internet :D
 
because i cant be arsed setting my other pc up for the internet atm could i download the drivers onto a pendriive and just copy them across or does it involve a lto of haslte?

Yeah sure, I always do that if I don't have internet access on the PC I'm setting up.
 
Oh yeah, gotta download the latest drivers, I cant remember the last time I used off the CD drivers for anything.
 
uninstall drivers...restart..go in to safe mode...run driver cleaner or drivesweeper delete nvidia,physx and control panel....restart....install new drivers...restart...you should be ok now;)
