I recently purchased this monitor from OC

and whilst it's a great monitor I cant help but think I should have gone for a 2560x1440 one instead.

Now I'm gonna have to sell this one before I can get the new one and I was looking at these two and wondered which would be my best option, leaning towards the Dell only because of the price

The Dell is hard to ignore at that price. And their after sales support is pretty decent too.

I think the Asus is 3D vision compatible and has that aimbot function. It also does look nicer if that is worth £80 then go for the Asus otherwise the Dell gets my vote.

Is the Dell not 3d vision compatible too? As for the crosshair feature, its a gimmick tbh. You can do the same thing by sticking a dot in the middle of the screen. And, some games anti cheat software will flag up the swift cursor as a cheat.

No mention on the Dell website about 3D vision, however can't imagine I'd use it. Is the Asus really worth the extra money?

Personally no i dont think it's worth the extra money. Dont get me wrong, i own a swift and like it. But both use the same panel and the dell is a good bit cheaper.

Dell all the way mate. Got my replacement today and it's such a good monitor for the price. I did consider the Rog Swift but it's riddled with bugs/power supply issues. Like the others have already said, you can't ignore it for the price.

If I had a 3D Vision emitter I could test it out as I have glasses, but the Asus does specify 3D vision compatible whereas the Dell doesn't.

I agree that is a bit of a gimmick and anti competitive but it does work or shall I say help when hip firing. I'm just pointing out that the Asus has extra "features" that the OP may benefit from them and if it sounds like something he would definitely use then go for the Asus.
