Wrong name on V5

Can you change it to the right spelling without it adding another owner to the record? How do you go about it - will it need a trip to local DVLA office?

I think you can update your details on your V5. Just dont enter information saying its a new keeper.

As above. On the V5 you can amend details such as spelling mistakes and then send it back to them... I know this from experience as they misspelled my surname 3 (!) times and I had to resort to writing an accompanying letter to point out how incompetent they were.
