wrong plug with superflower 1000w

I've just acquired a superflower 1000w leadex gold, but the plug provided is an EU 2 pronged plug, and I was expecting a 3 prong plug.

Are EU to UK adapters safe enough for long term usage with this sort of thing / is it possible to purchase a replacement plug which is fully compatible with this PSU (is it even worth considering taking it up with superflower themselves, though i'm pretty sure it's my fault for assuming it would come with a 3 prong plug!)?

Thanks.

Contact OcUK if you bought it there and they might ship you out a cable as from my experience they always send a 3-pin UK plug with most-all PSU sales

Just cut the plug off and wire up a 13A U.K plug onto it, much better than using an adapter which could pose a fire risk if it works lose and starts arching.
Just make sure you double over the terminations and do them up nice and tight with a terminal driver.

Hello!

If you haven't done so already post in the customer service section with your order number and I'll have a cable sent :)

Ok I was just about to use my old psu's lead? Should I not do that?

Also which way should the psu fan face? Up into the case or down and out through the bottom?

Cheers

You can use the lead from an old PSU, but you might as well get one from OCUK too.

I always base this on the surface the case will be sitting on. If it's carpet then fan facing up into the case or if it's a flat surface ie wooden floor or desk then fan facing down outside the case.

Yea I was told face down through the bottom vent but I am on a carpet so I guess it would be best facing in.

Thanks
