I've had this setup working for years now but recently it has started playing up. When I came home from work the Internet wasn't working. I usually log into the Web CP to see whats up but it didn't work and timed out.
After fiddling for a while it turned out the router could ping the AM200 but I couldn't from the PC or any other on the network. I tried rebooting both along with completely turning them off and turning the router then the modem on but to no avail. Then finally, after I unplugged the AM200 and back in again to the WAN port, it worked and I could ping the modem from my PC.
The AM200 uses a static IP of 192.168.2.1 with the router setup as static on the WAN port. I can't tell if it's the router or the modem at fault though. The AM200 has been shaky in the past and I have looked for firmware updates for it but from what I could find it already had the most up to date (1.19.04). The router runs Tomato 1.23 which I know needs updating so I may go ahead and do it but I don't even know if the router is at fault.
