Looking into using IPv6 ( part of my uni course ) and luckily enough my ISP will provide me with an IPv6 address as long as my router supports it.

So I went and purchased a WRT54G and intend to use the OpenWRT firmware to get the IPv6 capability. However I didn't research enough , and I never noticed the WRT54G is just a router and not a router/modem combo.

So essentially I need suggestions for a decent ethernet modem.

Thanks in advance

There's even some guides around on how to set it up in 'half bridge' mode so that it passes the internet ip through to the wan port of the WRT

I picked up a 'v 2' router , over the past few days I've been flashing numerous firmwares onto the thing, openWRT, DD-WRT and recently Tomato. I've found Tomato to be really good, but alas it has no IPv6 support.

I'm making slow progress too, it seems the more I learn the less I know. Fun though ^^

have also found it to be the nicest firmware though :)

the v2 is basically the same as a 'L'
