WRT54G keeps disconnecting

Hello, as per title

When I turn on psp or even send a file through xfire to a mate the thing breaks connection between my router and modem, I've rev 8 iirc, is there any good firmware that fixes this?
I'm using a pptp conenction.
Till it's fixed I'm still using a cheap sweex one but even that works better, but atm I really want wireless soon for lappy and psp and stuff so how can anyone point me to a good firmware site ?

If you mean you've got a version 8 WRT54G, there's a reduced version of DD-WRT that'll run on the VXWorks routers.

TY, I didn't know of that site, correction btw version 7 I have, but TY I'll try to fix the bugger, it's ridiculous it ( a 50€ router) disconnects on mild p2p usage ( even xfire tranferring a 3mb file causes it to crash) while a cheap 15€ sweex router is fine @ 300 p2p connects (altho it has other problems, port forwarding through virtual server doesnt work, trigger ports are iffy and often don't work, only DMZ and upnp work...).

It still runs VXWorks and has cut down RAM. The default Linksys firmware has an obscenely long expiration time on connections as well.
