Hi is there anyway to flash the linksys WRT54G v3.1 to GS?
I read somwhere a while ago but cannot seem to source the original post.

You mean enable Speedbooster?
The firmware should have an option for it within the wireless section.

No speed booster option in the wrt54g i think that option is for the wrt54gs which i am trying to flash to!

Install a 3rd-party firmware. I know for a fact DD-WRT has the option, though I've never tried it. Heck, you could overclock the little thing's CPU while you're in there. Tomato is another popular 3rd-party firmware, but I don't know if it has this particular feature.

well my new virgin 20mbs service has gone live and avergaing via wireless at 18mbs and ethernet cable a little over 20mbs.

oops i got that wrong my wireless is averging 11mbs and ethernet cable 20 + might have to go buy a power line kit.
