Hey ocuk :)

Got this router today (thanks ocuk :D) and set it up fine, internet works for all computers in my house and the Wii too. Limited any wireless access to only devices that I allow and left the firewall on.

Anyway, this PC and another PC are connected to the router via ethernet cables into the four ports at the back of the router.

Now webpages on the internet load pretty slowly, images taking up to a minute or two to download and it's just generally sluggish. Downloading over bit torrent is fine and I'm getting the regular speeds/faster speeds that I used to. I tried turning off the bit torrent download to see if it was actually that which was lagging me (was downloading at 1/10th of my bandwidth) and web browsing was still sluggish.

Anybody got any ideas as to why it may be like this? Should I disable some of the firewalls features at all? Are there any port configurations I need to do?

Thanks for any help!

As you get full speeds from torrent's reset the router, flash it with the latest firmware, power cycle the modem and see how that goes. Also check you've got nothing else plugged into the router at the time just incase and run netstat to see what's making outbound connections at the time...

I think I've fixed it now. It did have the latest firmware on it already.
I think I had too many connections comming down from the torrent I was downloading, so I've limited the amount and I aint had any problems since.

Thanks for the help anyway :)
