My Linksys WRT54GS v4 router bricked last night

Took it back to the shop today and all they had was v5.1's, (CGN8) Anybody know what the best firmware for it is?

i assume you want a 3rd party firmware. Whats wrong with the original ones?

Suspect the answer's "none" when it comes to third party VXWorks firmware.

Get a WRT54GL instead.

Its basically a WRT54GS V4.

I have one running DD WRT Firmware without any problems.

grrr ..guess the stock firmware will do

never got dd-wrt working right on the v4, it kept dropping the connection :confused:
