I am currently testing the WSUS server I have setup. I have it configured to update through group policy and at the moment have the policy set to run on just my machine.
There are 83 client machines, 80 have not received a last status report for over a week. There is my machine that was contacted yesterday. However there are also 2 other mahcines which received contact yesterday and on the 15th.
Both these machines shouldnt receive any contact as I just have the policy set to run on my computer (I am even in my own OU group) The 2 other machines are laptops and are in the same OU group (workstations and users) as all the other machines. The only difference I can see is that one comes in through VPN on a 192.168.200.229 address and the other 192.168.10.198 address. All other machines are 10.(0 - 99) 20. (0 - 99) 30.....
There is obviously some difference somewhere on these machines, i have tried GP modelling but looks no different to a machine that is not contacted.
Any clues where the difference could be?
