hi we are using WSUS and the WSUScontent folder is now at 8GB. Its the folder that has folders in it listed 00 to FF.

I take it these are the respective updates, but with the recent SP3 now downloaded through WSUS what if anything can I delete as the folder is reaching 8GB?

Thanks

Try running the wsus debug tool to purge un-needed, superceeded, and corrupt update files:

WsusDebugTool.exe /Tool:PurgeUnneededFiles

From a command line.

You can download it HERE.

If you're running WSUS 3 you can run the cleanup tool from the MMC interface rather than the debug tool - I found it did a better job. Its under options somewhere... Give you options of removing unneeded/outdated/superseeded updates etc etc

3GB? What are you set to recieve  I Don't think 3GB is enough to even update the s2003 server that WSUS would be sat on :/

Excellent link to the tool paradigm, i'll have a go of that tomorrow. I noticed today my wsus content folder is 50 odd gb
