wtf celeron D 2.93 now a 2.8?

Normally i think celeron D socket 478's are 22x133 = 2.93 but my multiplier is now 21 and speed is 2.8?

Any one have an idea?No settings have been changed as its multiplier locked anyway.

That seems like your suggesting you didn't know what it was before.
As far as I know there were different speeds of celeron on socket478.


If you cpu was originally a 2.93 and you haven't touched the multi I'm not sure what has happened

21x133 would be correct for a Celeron D 335, 22x533 would be a Celeron D 340.

Which model of Celeron-D do you have?

No its a 2.93 D says so on the heat spreader and used to in windows, its just a conundrum id like to solve!

Do these ones vary the multiplier to reduce power consumption/heat? (Speedstep) The Core 2 Duo I have does by default (can be disabled in BIOS).
