WTF is it with my Cat?

On the road....
Milo , he's weird.

I've had him for a few months now after my sister gave him to me - He's about 2 years old.

Thing is, he's what many people call a housecat, i.e. he won't go out.

Now the thing is, its a nice day and I have my back door & window open.

Milo is currently sat on the doorstep looking outside, I go out, he sits there & meows at me.

I put him out in the garden, he jumps straight back in through the window.

He shows no interest in the great outdoors at all and didn't when my sister owned him either.

I am just wondering why? Any ideas?

He's recently been to the Vet with a hormone problem that according to the Vet is "not helped by him getting little or no sunshine"

I'm sure he'd greatly appreciate the outdoors, I back onto land that must be full of Mice & all things that Cats like.

So how do I change him or, am I stuck with him as is? - I hope not - a typical Male, when he uses his litter tray, his aim is very off the mark!:(

tried the food idea a while back, he simply plagues you (by rubbing against you whilst meowing in a pathetic manner) until you relent & bring his food back.

My sister used to leave him out a lot, he spent most of his time sat on an upstairs window sill meowing!

Dogs don't bother him at all, he's quite a big Cat who used to live with a Dog :D

At least you don't have to worry about getting the call that he's been run over. However, just don't sit on him.

This is a concern as I live near a road that frequently has roadkill on it.

I don't sit on him, but frequently trip over him and / or stand on him. :o

Go out side see if he will follow you? Try and play with him out there?

Did not follow and looked at me like I'd gone mad when I tried to get him to play! :D

Carry him outin your arms, sit down on the grass whilst still cuddling/stroking it, and then gradually let him "free"?

He clawed me & ****ed off back inside!

lovely cat m8 :)
silly thing is getting the side of its head wet when its drinking from the tap :P

Yes mate, I came into the bathroom the other night to find him sat under the running bath taps, as I say ,WTF is it with my Cat?:D

Cheers for the tips guys. :)

****ing it down here atm, opened the back door to put the rubbish out and the Cats gone out too!

It must be a water thing! :D

Needless to say he was not out long and came back in to use his litter tray.
