Tried installing the new (ish) 8.10 catalyst package and it fails every time.

Rebooted, re downloaded, drive sweeper, cleaned... to no avail.

Tried going back to previous drivers 8.8 and 8.9, none of which install properly (similar failures of install package)

So help as tou what to do next would be most appreciated as it appears I have no drivers installed.
Windows update even thinks I have the latest drivers and everything is OK.
Nothing errors up in device manager either..

Confused....

I found that if I used Drivercleaner with the latest ATI drivers I would get that too. I found I had to install the drivers, reboot, uninstall them, reboot, uninstall the gfx card from Device Manager, reboot, install drivers. Bit of a ball-ache but it works for me.

Have you tried installing the driver only package from the ATi website? I remember having an issue like this and using the driver only installer worked and then I just used ATT instead of CCC.

its just another reason to ditch ati graphics altogether.

Public Key Token is AFIK related to HDCP encryption. Have you tried loading just the drivers and not CCC?

Yes.
Didn't fix it..

Have just spent the last two and a bit hours re-installing Vista from scratch So no more help required.
Thanks anyway

Try Uninstall and reinstall .NET framework if you have it installed, or update .NET framework to the latest version (including any .NET updates from Windows Update) before installing drivers. If you can extract the ATI drivers without having to install the Catalyst package, try it.

When you cleared everything off did you also delete out all "ATi" and "ATi Technolgies / Technology" Reg keys? And also delete any ATi folders left on the C:\ drive and within C:\Users\<user profile>\appdata?
