WTF Is this all about

This is nearly as bad as those resistor chips which cost pennies and trick your car into over fueling and causing more harm than good :(

Load of complete crap.

In any case it looks like they're selling :(

lol They had something like these on a TV program hosted by Quentin Wilson on saving fuel/money.

Fitted them to a womans 4X4, Quentin was all 'you saved yourself X pounds' and the woman gave him a funny look and told him it was probably down to her driving more economically during the test than the magnets.

Other ways of saving money on fuel according to the program

Using Super unleaded. Test completed in a car which wasn't designed to take advantage of super unleaded.

And

Getting some bloke to trade in his old golf for a brand new golf.

Both tests saved the drivers money apparantly. Can anyone else see the problem.

Mythbusters tested a whole range of supposed 'Fuel Saving' devices. None of them worked, some actually used more fuel!

OMG I WANT ONE!!!

but...

In engines with a carburetor a small adjustment will be required: after about 1000miles, increase amount of air and decrease amount of fuel coming into the carburetor as the fuel/air mix is now too rich due to magnetic conditioning of the fuel.

??? :D

t e h 'magnetic conditioning'

Q. Can the Turbomag give an extra boost?

A.YES. Everyone that has tried Turbomag has noticed more Horse Power. More power means less down shifting when climbing hills, which translates into better gas mileage.

What.

More power should mean more fuel as the engine is working harder.

complete BS

Nothing to do with the product that makes it sell, the marketing is wonderful! No wonder people are fooled, though only the foolish buy them.

If it really saved fuel, then manufacturers would fir them.

In a similar way to, if the manafacturer put a washer there, it needs one, else they would have saved a few thousand £ over the production run.

I'm loving this:

During II World War German Air Forces -Luftwaffe, used magnetic rods positioned along fuel lines to reduce exhaust smokes from plaines engines and make them less visible to their enemies.

Given some of the other lunatic theories coming out of Nazi Germany I actually believe they'd do something that silly. But it wouldn't work for that either.

It's very simple: petrol is completely non-magnetic so magnets will have no effect on it. You could strap the magnets of the LHC around the fuel lines and there'd still be no effect.

I saw that, complete waste of air time. The only one that really showed anything useful was the guy who changed his driving style and even that had a classic ending. "So simply by changing your driving style you could save £xxx per year. So are you going to continue with this" "No" :p

They stole a load of pictures from the BP website too, maybe somebody should email BP and let them know :D
