Just recieved my 64 version of home premium, out in the drive.
Bios says boot from cs,
then the drive just sits there. disc whirls up time and time again, no joy it will just not read it. Boot tim my 32 version, does the same thing. It will not read the disc at all, just keeps whizzing up speed blah blah blah. Ive tried other DVD's etc and they all work,

Any ideas?

It seems the dic is borked, even better is that OCUK wont exchange it as it been opened (funny that) and Microsoft want 18quid for a new disc!

Talk about encouraging piracy. Now im left with an £80 coaster.

you should take more time to type out your post cos that was pretty hard to understand lol

In your OP, you said you also tried your 32bit version of vista and it did the same thing as your new 64bit version? surely that would suggest that its the cd drive thats at fault and not the disk?

lol yeah my typing is rubbish!

I mean i have tried running the disc from windows and it dont work. Any yes my 32 bit OEM disc does work, it the 64bit one that wont.
So your saying i need a new DVD drive to ge the thing to work?

Some DVD drives have trouble with newer MS DVD's. Try another drive as very unlikely to be the DVD unless it is badly scratched or has lots of surface marks on.
