WTH went wrong?

Just spent the last 4 hours taking my pc apart, gave it a good clean, lapped my CPU upto 2000grit and installed a bolt through kit for my AC7. The results? 4 degrees hotter at idle and under Intel burn test

How did I manage to mess it up so badly :/

maybe the heatsink just needs reseating

Yeah, I would give it a good clean and reapply thermal paste. Worth a shot.
