WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers

I played it on release with Gamepass, I was quite looking forward to it but I never played it for long as it just didn't grab me. Not sure why, the combat controls felt awkward I think, really not sure what it was I didn't like. Maybe I should try again if there have been some patches.

Wuchang fallen feathers is done 100% on steam , i did make back up saves to make it easyer to save time .

Really good game. I completed it other week. Pity there won't be any dlc coming to it.
Yeah, finished it a while ago and had a really good time with it. Gather it did okay in terms of sales, though, so hopefully we'll see something come out in the future that develops the original game. I thought some of the level design was very good and some of the bosses were neat too and a good difficulty level, I thought.

I want to play this but I might get is on disc for ps5 as I heard they messed it up with some patch…. Made it easy, and changed the story so you couldn’t kill certain people ?

Yes they did, but I don't know what all the fuss about...Combat is still great, there is some build variety. The game is gorgeous, you won't regret it

I heard something about this, but I'm not sure it's as impactful as all that. Or I just missed things. I dunno. My understanding (which could be off, tbf) is that this is the reason some bosses just kneel down in submission when you beat them instead of them being killed. Oh and you can't kill the small number of civilians you find in some places, but then I don't know if you ever could do that?

And I think the difficulty adjustments were largely in the number of frames it took Wuchang to drink the healing flask and get up from being knocked down. I believe a lot of players were complaining that getting knocked down was as good as being one-shot since it was impossible to get back up before taking another string of hits from several bosses. I think they changed the animation and i-frames for that.

I stil found it challenging and quite difficult to get heals off in quite a few fights, though. Going off my average death to bosses count, I only found Sekiro, Nioh 2 and the Dark Souls 3 DLCs more difficult out of the 20 or so Souls-likes I've played.

Yes,you're right. Two bosses kneel down. In Chapter 4 some enemies are neutrul towards you,and fight your enemies which make game easier, but by that time you can be already overpower.

I died a lot in Wuchang, but again when you get timing of your doge right you're going to demolish most of the bosses. Second you can respec before the fight.

Respec? Dodging?

What witchcraft is this?

First you unga. Then you bunga.

Alright, (kind of) joking... I did respec to sword for one boss and used the switch attack move to the steam spear for a few others (that with an axe main is really powerful), but there really aren't many problems a good solid heavy axe doesn't solve in this game, especially with life steal tempering, that forward flip move and rampage.

(I did have to learn how to dodge quite a few bosses in truth, and died six times to the bird mage thing doing so and also quite a few to some of the bosses that have effective one shot mechanics that can catch you out)
