WW II- German side

Theres a mod for CoD, German Front I think. Never played it but I think it has an SP campaign that puts you in the shoes of a german footsoldier.
 
Not sure you'd find anything on the German market either and if you did it would be heavily censored (no swastikas allowed for example). Also, most Germans would probably rather play as the allies fighting against Nazism.

Zip is right about the Aussies contribution in both world wars and also their major contribution in Vietnam which also never appears in games based on that conflict.

Flight sims seem to be the only games with the option to play as other country's forces - IL2 allows you to fly in German, British, American, Finnish, Polish, Japanese as well as the Aussie and Kiwi planes.
 
TBH I dont think I could play a game where I slaughter British troops, I know it would only be a game but It just would not feel right.
 
I'm sure there was a mod called german front for COD a while back but I don't have a clue what happened to it. I googled it and can't see any mention of singleplayer anymore but I remember they released a demo a while back, you had to defend the beach from the Americans but it was rather short (being a demo). Oh and someone make an Austalian war game for Zip to satisfy his patriotism ;)
