I used to enjoy wrestling back in the late 90s when I was a teen, but got bored of it soon after.
I bought all the wrestling games for the N64 and still to this day play No Mercy on a weekly basis. For me that was the pinnacle of wrestling games (and comes close to one of the best games ever IMO)
I picked up WWE 2k14 last week for £15 and thought it'd be fun to relive the Attitude Era.
First impressions are that it's pretty decent, a lot is based around reversing moves which can get tiresome. Lots of match type are available, and it's fun using objects in different ways.
This game is definitely a multiplayer game, but the single player isn't good.
The Road to Wrestlemania is fun, and it's nice to see how they've done all the various matches like in real life but apart from that there is no career mode or story mode and I feel that is a complete cop out!
All the previous gen games used to have decent storymodes why don't these new ones?!
So yeah if you enjoy wrestling and have mates who you can play with then get it, otherwise I'd give it a miss tbh
