WWII FPS

Hi guys

I am in the mood to play a single player WWII game so I am just looking for some recommendations.
It would be better if the game wasn't to old but I am not sure what's out there? I think the last one I really played and enjoyed was Medal of honer frontline on Playstation.

Any recommendations? ty

They might be a bit old now, but they're still fantastic games.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Spearhead, Airborne.
Red Orchestra 1 and 2.
Call of Duty: World at War.
Wolfenstein.

The thing is once you have played one they are all the same, especially the Call of Duty and Medal of Honour series.

Hopefully the new Wolfenstein will set things back in the right direction. The CoD and MoH games never did much for me, the original Wolfenstein and RTCW were good fun.

CoD 2 is fantastic. Great weaponry (fan of bolt action infantry rifles, of which there are plenty) and the graphics are not too shabby either considering its age.

cod 1 and uo single player and mp both epic. uo on hardest settings is amazinglu hard

Any fan of the WWII genre must also play the Men of War games, starting with the original Soldiers:Heroes of WW2. The sequels, Faces of War and the Men of War variants (MoW, MoW Red Tide, MoW Condemned Heroes, Assault Squad) are all on offer on Steam at the moment.

All good games but not really FPS as the thread title states

Another vote for Brothers in Arms
Also take a look at Iron Front: Liberation 1944 a stand alone game based on the Arma II engine and as such also has the stiff learning curve of the Arma games and certainly isn't run and gun. If you don't fancy the eastern front there is also a D-Day 1944 DLC for it. The game isn't without it's faults but can be very satisfying.

Red orchestra 2 / Rising storm.

Break away from the norm, this game puts modern FPS to shame.

Definitely play through the Brothers in Arms games for single player. I always thought the original was really good but it was underrated in a lot of reviews imo. Hell's Highway is a pretty decent sequel and also has more modern graphics.

Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm is one of the best multi player WW2 FPS I have played.
