i have the 360 wireless controller and a wireless receiver,

downloaded the software from Microsoft, in the controlpanel/device manager it says Unknown Device, no drivers at all. have tried restarting, check for updates and Run as Admin and compatibility mode, none works.

the light is on the receiver anyway and have the controller on but they cannot connect, have tried hitting the syncronise buttons numerous times

any help appreciated

I could never get mine to sync, not even when connected to a mains powered usb hub. Worked fine when I tried it in a friends system though. Flogged it and switched to a wired pad in the end.

bloody annoying is what it is, ime guessing that it is like most things with the pc, bloody finnicky and will take a good number of tries to get it working.

anybody else that does have it working, what does it actually say in device manager for the device, is there any drivers for this because i cannot seem to get any to download for it?

Im on win7 and it just works when you plug it into any usb port. Windows 7 has the drivers already.
Yours is either faulty or you have hardware/sortware issues on your pc. Its probably just faulty.

The only annoyance for me is that it turns my xbox on as its in the same room ( when i turn the pad on of course )
