X-Box Live

I want to connect to X-Box Live but my internet connection is in a different room to where my X-Box is, and I don't really want to have wires going from one room to another. Is there a way to wirelessly connect to the internet from a different room?

Didn't think it would be that expensive!

Looks like I'll be sticking with cable then. Will the cable go from my internet connection point straight into the X-Box?

The ethernet cable should connect into the back of my Xbox and into my modem and then an internet cable goes from my modem to the internet connection point? Correct?

The ethernet cable that came with the Xbox goes into my Xbox but doesn't go into my modem, the only thing that my ethernet cable will connect to is the back of my PC. Is is possible to have my Xbox connected to my PC which in turn is connected to my modem which in turn is connected to the internet?

If not can someone recommend a cheap solution to the problem I'm having. I just basically want to connect to Xbox live whilst my Xbox is in another room to my internet point. Any links to OC products would be a great help.

BT voyager 105. As you can tell I'm not a great electronics man so someof these questions may be blindly obvious!
