Hey, first forum post here.

Looking to get a server case and the X-Case (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-professional-x-case-xk465f2-4u-rackmount-chassis-sa-02s-op.html) showed up in my searching. Unfortunately the product page is REALLY sparse in terms of internal structure.

Ideally, I'd be looking to get a bunch of GPUs in there to perform compute-heavy workloads (mining) and would like to fit at least 6 cards in a 4U space.

If anything, all I'm really asking for is an image of the case internals, whether there is a system in there or not really doesn't matter, will still help massively in this decision.

Cheers!

Nope no system in there, just a server style rack and thats it. You're better off buying a mining bench from china vendors for cheap and no i don't have any links for you. Google is your best friend.

I'm fully aware it's simply a case, was asking for pictures of internals to assist with planning and structuring.

Typical mining benches are cheap as chips, if I wanted to do that, I'd get some aluminium and make it myself with my power tools.

Primary reason I'm looking at rackmount is for the forced airflow, which is much better for the cards temps.

contact them directly as I did they were really helpful. you can also download manuals on most of their products via their website. I bought a 2u model but not built it yet.

The internal case pics are on their UK website which is easy enough to find. I have used them but the lack of front fans as well as filtered, lockable door is a big downside for me. Also they are in extreme constraint at the moment, well all cheaper rackmount cases are. I prefer the Logic Case SC-43650B or SC-43550B depending on the use case. Unfortunately the are also out of stock and we currently have 20 on backorder with the UK importers.

As with all cheap rackmount chassis be prepared to bin the supplied fans and get some decent ones along with some plasters. Hope that helps :)

Edit: Forgot to mention, you will be fine with about 6 GPUs if they are single slot but if they are double slot width then you are limited to 3 as there is only 7 PCIE expansion slots.

For more than that you would be looking at something like the Asus ESC8000 which is certainly not cheap but great GPU Compute product. ESC8000 G4 | Server & Workstation | ASUS United Kingdom
