Yeah just downloaded Apocalypse. woowoo!

I have the Apocalypse CD still, but could never get it working properly with Dosbox on XP/Vista..do you just launch the game from Steam and everything's set up for you or do you just get a copy of Apocalypse and Dosbox then try to get em both working together?

all done for you. i had apocalypse as well and had real troubles with it. through steam it seemed fine for the 20 mines or so i just played it (vista 32):)

Interceptor is definitely a Hurrah! I bet it doesn't look nearly as good as I remember mind you :p

I could never get into Apocalypse - found it really fiddly and unintuitive after the first two.

Apocalypse, the greatest game ever. Like the rest, i have the cd at home but its too much of a ball ache to get running on xp/vista but this is such good news :D i now have a game to play whilst waiting for WAR.

I'd say so mate.

It launches Dosbox with everything set up right from the download. I didnt even realise it was playing in Dosbox till i altabbed.

Nah it doesnt.

You can force it into window mode though :) not sure how, google it. I just bug mine into window by alt tabbing, it doesnt like going back to fullscreen after that.

Those of you who bought it, can you test if Interceptor has the alien base/data jammer bug still?

There was a problem using XP where when you attack an alien base/data jammer you cant destroy them.

Presumably that only affects the UFO gold version that actually ran in XP, this DOSbox version is the same as the original.

Thats correct, its the same game in all but name if I recall correctly

Yup, iirc they changed the name with the release of TFTD.

I've actually still got the boxed version of UFO sat on my shelf, it was a great game, and I must admit I did cheat with it (used a hex editor to create a race of super soldier/scientists) :D

I'm rather tempted by the steam offer.
