Ok i use a DS3 onboard sound at the moment, from the Line Put i have a 3.5mm jack going to my sont HiFi surround amp which from there goes to the 5 speakers and the bass. Currently i dont have an amp with digital in but thats something on the horizon.
more importantly, i am thinking about picking up an X-Fi Gamer card and possibly some 5.1 headphones. but i also want to hook my PC up to my normal surround system for when i dont have to play in silence.
all i want o know is, is that going to be an issue, i dont want to get a sound card if it means i cant hook up my normal amp as well as some 5.1 headphones.
