x-fi and z-2300 problems

ive got an x-fi and some z-2300's and was expecting clear good sound, the problem is that one of the speakers is always distorted. The other is perfect. Im fairly sure that its not the salelite speakers because when i swap the cable over, the problem appears in the speaker that was fine before.

What is likely the prob. Is it the X-Fi or is it the z-2300's sub.

Hi there mctrials23, i have a Logitech Z2300 setup, but with an Audigy 2ZS & it works fine. Does your motherboard have onboard sound or do you have another sound card that you could try ? Or do you have a mp3 or portable cd player that you could plug the speakers into ? Hope this helps.
