X-Fi Audio card problem??

Ive got a few problems with the X-Fi audio card i bought the other day. 1) ive got a crackiling sound coming from my speakers when playing music 2) when i plug my headset in the mic dont work and i cant hear people talking in ventrilo but i can hear other stuff.

Help??

i have an Nforce4 Sli chipset and have the latest drivers. and the card is in the only pci slot i have left. What about this problem that i acnt hear in ventrilo with my headset yet when i use my speakers i can hear people talking ??

the card is in the only pci slot avliable which is the one right at the bottom of my mobo, i have another pci slot further up but one of my 6800's covers that slot up

Are there any drivers to fix the problem and if not then y havnt nVidia or Creative done anything about it for example a new bios update
