Hey all,

Just got a new X-Fi Xtrememusic today. So here's exactly what I did. Turned off the computer and removed existing audigy 2 card (I forgot to uninstall the creative software before shutting down!). Then whacked in the X-fi card, powered up the machine, and initially Vista loaded, but as it was searching for new drivers, I got a BSOD saying DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_THAN_EQUAL or something to that effect. So I rebooted, and at the logon screen it went straight into the same BSOD. Bugger.

I've installed the X-Fi fine on XP (I'm running XP and Vista you see) so it's obviously a Vista problem.

Any suggestions? Or am I gonna have to reinstall Vista? Thanks.

Got my XFi Extreme Gamer today and my system did exactly the same thing! BSOD and all.

I had also removed my Audigy 2 - solved the problem though

Downloaded the new vista drivers off creatives website, booted into safe mode and installed the drivers from there.

Rebooted into vista and hey presto everything is fine.
